Different ways to hide, for example, a water barrel

Annorlunda sätt att dölja tex vattentunna

Here is a tip on how you can hide something like in my case a water barrel without hiding it completely. I did it this way because I thought it would be too much to have additional construction with boards in either direction to hide the barrel.

I used regular plywood and oiled it with a pigmented oil. Regular plywood is sensitive to moisture and I could have sealed the edges with some more waterproof coating but now I have to focus on touching up with oil at closer intervals instead.

I cut the plywood out with a laser, but you can also use a jigsaw with a suitable saw blade. When the pieces were cut out, I made simple wooden supports for each blade to be able to attach the blades to the ground.

To anchor the cut leaves in the ground, I dug holes about 40 cm deep and filled them with concrete, and before it had time to harden, the leaves were placed in the concrete. To easily align the leaves straight, I sawed about 10 cm long pieces of paper tube (used in casting) and pressed these into the top of the concrete. Supports were placed on these so that the leaves end up vertically. Here it is important to use a spirit level to achieve a good result.
